Although doing Sept 30 in 30 this year is not my first time, as Aug ended, to be honest, I was quite nervous (again) about Sept 30 in 30.
"God equip me and help me to love You and love who You love, the lost souls"...I prayed.
When the Sept month approached, this time I have decided to give one tract to each person and pray for that person rather than "rushing it out". Many of the tracts that were given away were to strangers and I did not want to forget about how they look like, what they were doing at the time I meet them and what we were talking about. I wanted to be able to depend on God in prayer each time I give out a tract to that one person. First week went passed quite smoothly. I was enthusiastic and prayed faithfully as I go. Second week approached, I began to be busier with other commitments of the week, I prayed less for each person and for my own personal 30 in 30 outreach, God gave me a really strong wake up call, a blunt rejection.
I remembered last year, I had given it to her, she took it. We have been chatting quite often everytime I am there. This year, when I decided to give it to her again, she rejected me with a crude comment...I was actually in a bit of a shock...She said to me, "Do not give me that again. Someone else was trying to give me one of these. We received some last week and we had to clear them off at the end of the day (extra work for them before they close off for the day)". I said to her, "Oh...this is very important to read. She replied bluntly, "It is important to you but not important to me! So, do not give it to me again"
God guided me to pray for her that day. God also reminded me that I needed to depend on Him everyday to do His work. "No prayer, no power." I did not use to understand this saying (Quoted by one of our mature leaders), then I realise the words that God placed in my heart that day. I needed to depend on God in prayer to do His work and His Will. His Work is Spiritual work, how can I approach it with my own carnal strength!? Of course no "power!". God is the One who will enable (empower) us, His servants to do His Work, for His glory and purpose.
From then I continue to pray earnestly, and in humility, committing each person God placed in my life for the rest of that month of September, 2017. I continue to keep tracts in my bag and car, with a prayerful heart seek for the opportunity that God gives each day.
It is indeed my blessing and privilege to be able to serve my Almighty Creator King, Thrice Holy God.
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11

Hold the Tracts and the Faith
Returned to a charity table which i walked away from earlier. Managed to share the gospel for a solid 10-15 minutes and gave a tract each to both Susan and Bliss. Bliss was initially quiet but asked questions regardless divorce etc after i shared the gospel. Bliss mentioned that her mum maybe looking for a Church nearby. Truly thanking the Lord for the opportunities given: 6 tracts given out in the short span of minutes! Was initially doubtful of giving all away but now i'm out of tracts before my work shift even started! Thank the Lord for the courage and wisdom! - Today in Willetton
Fierce vs Fears God
Saw a fierce Transperth Officer standing there. Wanted to give him the tract but I was so scared and walked away. Thank God for giving me the courage to turn back and passed him the tract. Surprisingly, he's so friendly and accepted the tract happily telling me that he's been reading it since young. And he attended church since/when he's a child?(Can't remember clearly whether he's still going to church) - Yesterday @ 8am in the Perth City

"I got one of these and that's how I got saved"
After gym, I sat down on the bench in the city while waiting for my friend to knock off from work. I could feel someone is looking at me and trying to walk over to where I was sitting. Feeling a bit scary , tried to run away. When I was about to stand up and walked away, suddenly a man walked in front of me and gave me something. It was a tract from his church. Then I took out mine and say we can exchange this. He saw it and said: hey, I know this tract , previously I got one of this and that's how I got saved. Was quite encouraging while I heared that. Sometimes I might even wonder how this small little tract could let people come to know Christ and got saved. Thank God I didnt run away and through this It's really encouraging to know how amazing God works really are. We are just a vessel used by God all we have to do is to do our best and God will do the rest.
Isaiah 6:8 - Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here [am] I; send me.

Better bargain than catalogue
Have always wanted to replace a broken cabinet at home and there was a cabinet on special buy on Aldi catalogue for past Saturday.
Thought I should drop by to see if there was still left over stock.
Pray before I go asking the Lord to help me with tracting. Another sister interceded with me.
There was a few chinese people around the shop. So gave out two Mandarin Gospel Rally invites, a Chinese tract and an English tract.
It was too heavy for me to carry into my car. Asked the cashier, Will, to help me to get the two flat packs into the car. And there at the car park, tracted him.
Heart is filled with joy and remembered Psalms 37:5 'Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass'.
Thank God for helping me to tract and also providing me the long wanted suitable cabinet replacement in an unexpected way!

What happens to a tract after you give it to someone?
Thank God for a great encouragement that He is a Sovereign God, that His Word shall not return void unto Him but will accomplish all that He purposes, and that our labour in the Lord is not in vain.
All throughout my privileged opportunity of giving out Gospel tracts, I have not ever heard of what happened to a tract whose recipient I did not see again (occasionally I will meet with people who had previously received tracts, but those who I never saw again are a complete mystery: how did they respond? where did the tract end up? who read the tract?).
Today I heard of what happened to a tract which I gave out yesterday. I can't even remember who received that tract, but the tract ended up being located by another sister-in-Christ.
Someone in church had a student and gave her a THIS WAS YOUR LIFE tract. The little girl read it, but before reading to the end, she lost it at a shopping mall. When she was offered another tract, this little girl said that she had found another one already. Upon further inquiry and asking to see the tract, she found out from the number on the back that this was the very tract that I had given a man in the park yesterday! It turns out that he did not read the tract, being a nominal christian who rarely went to church, but his daughter found it, and read it aloud to her dad in the car.
This has been of great comfort to me. Often we know that our service is unto the Lord, whether He chooses to use our testimony of the Gospel as a savour of life unto life or as a savour of death unto death is entirely up to Him, He has a purpose for His word and it will not return unto Him void, but sometimes we can feel discouraged and wonder if God will ever use these tracts which we give to people who we know may never read them. Once the tracts leave our hands, we don't really know what happens to them and we may think that they will end up as wastepaper, but we have not seen behind the scenes, God can work in mysterious ways His wonders to perform, He is the true and Living God: His arm is not shortened.

iPad down, Eyes up for Souls
Mabu. I usually use my iPad on the bus, but this time I didn't. Around halfway to uni, an African lady leaned over and asked me how to get to ECU. I told her that I was going there and said I could take to ECU and to the building if she wanted. She was very thankful and I managed to get to know her a little bit on the walk to her building (which was at the south end of campus). She had fled South Africa and arrived in Perth in May and was picking up her English test results at ECU. Before she left, I handed her a tract and openly told her that I was a Christian. She was so happy, took the tract, and said that she was a Christian too. I asked her if she had a church to worship at and she said she worshipped at Cornerstone (a Charismatic church) since she lived in Joondalup.
Thank God for the opportunity. Sometimes I think it is a good thing not to be glued to your phone or electronic device - people are usually more likely to interact with you. :)

How You React Depends Whether Tract is in Hand
Tract in hand I went out to do some grocery shopping. A gangster looking Asian guy said hello to me at shopping centre. I reacted out of instinct and avoided him. But immediately God convicted my heart about this man that he may not know Christ and I am walking away without dispensing the gospel message. A quick prayer in heart I turned back and called out to the man that I have something for him. Actually he turned out really polite and open to receive gospel tract. Reminds me that the gospel of Christ is for every sinner, not just for the well dressed. Thank God for courage to speak to this man and for teaching me a lesson tonight.- @ 7:55pm in South Lake last night

Rejected but Acquainted
This morning I got into the train and sat besides a young looking gal. Holding tract #163607 waiting for her to open her eyes from her nap.
Still holding the rejected tract #163607 waiting for the young gal to wake up. Two more stops to my train stop and YES ... seemingly in a half-awaked mode, she took my tract. I immediately asked her if she understand Chinese. She nodded and handed her a Mandarin Gospel Rally invite. She took with a smile after I told her that it is a church event, feel free to bring her friends and transport can be arranged. She flipped the tract a bit, tucked into her bag and went back to nap
.
Story didn't end there ...
Get off the train with the lady who rejected my tract previously. She approached me asking which church do I go to.
We are ACQUAINTED! Got her name, exchange work places and church details.
Thank God!

'3 for $2' Cue
"Can I mix and match three kinds of green vegetable which are labeled for 3 for $2?" A lady asked me in Mandarin when I was rushing to grab my weekly grocery within the 15 minutes before the shop closed. It was then I was made awared that there were many people in the shop speaking in Mandarin. Thanking God that I have aimlessly tucked some tracts and Mandarin Gospel Rally invites in my sling bag as I rushed out of the house. Given out 2 Mandarin tracts, 4 Mandarin Gospel Invites and tract #163605 to three China families there + the cashier! May the Lord moves some to come to Mandarin Gospel Rally. Please pray with me. |

Slow Trading Day Becomes Gospel Opportunity
Had a really good conversation with the person in charge of the watch/cobbler/engraver store.
Just had a chat for sometime about general things and prayed for an opportunity to turn the conversation to spiritual things concerning her soul.
Thank God the opportunity came when she asked me what I was studying and I told her how wonderful studying the Bible had been to me recently, found out she came from a Catholic background but had been out of it for 10 years because of an incident in her church where someone's leg was broken in a fight.
She hadn't really considered whether there was indeed a God so I asked her about the all the watches on display.
I told her that I had never seen a watchmaker or a watch being made so how would I know that the watch had been made and not formed by chance? Of course from the intricacy of the design which she as a watch repairer would understand better than anyone else.
Thank God she could see the argument that this world which is far more complex must have a Maker although we cannot see Him.
Gave her a tract and shared the Gospel with her, showing her how it was different from all other religions and Catholicism even because it is not salvation by our works which we cannot do at all but it is salvation by Christ's works and His salvation alone.
I had to leave in a hurry but thank God that when I told her to read it carefully she said very seriously that she would and when I told her that our church doors were always open to her she said she might see me there then.
Thank God for this great opportunity and His providential arrangement of things so that she would be there.
She normally works somewhere else but as the normal attendant at that watch store was ill she had to fill in just for that night and had not much business for that day and was bored so was very happy to talk.
May God have mercy on her soul (Katy) as He has given the opportunity to share the Gospel to her. @ 9:10pm on Thursday 10/9/15 in Bull Creek

Be a listener when preaching the Gospel
When I was getting my groceries today, Teryl the check out lady started a conversation with me and asked me how my day had been. I in turn asked her how she was and she told me she had been better. I asked her why and she said life had been pretty tough for her of late - her dog had been sick and also her marriage was starting to fall apart. I told her that I believe that everything happens for a reason and through difficulties, we can grow.
She smiled and she said 'I hope so'. She then apologised for unloading on me and I just said, it was no problem at all and I told her I was a Christian and that I would pray for her, to which she replied 'really? you would do that?' and I said of course! At that moment I could see her eyes getting 'moist' so I offered her a tract 'this is for you, it's a gospel tract and I hope it will bring you some encouragement' and she received it with a smile. Thank God for the opportunity and if you read this, please keep Teryl in prayer

Agnostic to Hopefully Saved
Praise God for a very good opportunity to evangelise.
This man (Dominic) first declined a tract because he said he believed there was no God.
Thank God that instead of giving up and moving on, God moved me to stick on and ask why he didn't believe in a God.
This led to showing him how not believing in God is as ridiculous as saying that a watch has no maker.
Managed to fully share the Gospel with him, of how we are all sinners who can never do enough good to get to heaven, how our conscience itself proves that there is a God who will judge us, the fiery end which awaits all those who die in their sins, the infinity of this judgement because of our infinite sin against an infinite God, how we are all condemned by the law which is already in our conscience, how we break God's law specified in the Ten Commandments and reflected in our conscience, how we are rendered without excuse from the creation of the world, how we are thus condemned to hell for our sins and how we can never make up for our broken record.
But also the good news of the Gospel, how God so loved the world, that God the Father would send God the Son in the flesh to live perfectly and earn the righteousness we could not, how He would die an excruciating bloody death on the cross in our place, how He not only took the physical torture but also the anguish of God the Father placing His wrath upon the Son, and how He rose victorious from the grave in a glorified physical body because He is God and to seal our salvation and give us the hope of resurrection.
Thus we no longer fear death but look forward to it, for to be with the Lord is far better and that it is the beginning of our life, awaiting the resurrection of our bodies and how glorious, eternal, wonderful, and worth-it it is.
After this, evolution was addressed and shown to be false: a blind faith. For there are no "missing links" : they are all misnomers or hoaxes, and evolution of kinds is not seen and completely different from natural selection and adaptation.
After the Gospel, general apologetics: such as Christianity being different from all other world religions like genuine money is distinguished from counterfeit money by the major differences of the founder being resurrected not dead, the Saviour who has done the good works necessary for our salvation not salvation by our own good works. And other things.
Thank God that for one solid hour the Gospel and apologetics was shared with him, and he was extremely receptive and listened attentively.
After a few minutes of sharing the Gospel with him he reached out for one of the tracts in my hand and read through it as I talked to him, also gave him a tract about evolution which he also took.
As we were about to part he said he would read the tracts again when he got home, and I told him to read them very carefully like he would read a treasure map which would lead to treasure or a booklet abut a foolproof way to become a billionaire.
"For what shall it profit a man if he should gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36
In closing the conversation with him I again asked him if he would repent and believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, His person, His works, His death and resurrection to save him and his sincere answer was "I hope that God will save me." I asssured him of God's promise of salvation to all who repent and believe with John 6:37 "…him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out."
What a change from the agnostic who didn't believe there was a God and who initially refused a tract and now one hour later acknowledged that he was a sinner and hoped that the God he did not believe in previously would save him! Other words he dropped seemed to indicate his change of heart, as I left instead of saying "have a good one" accidentally said "have a good life" and he said "yes, a good after life." and he returned my "God bless".
Thank God, this opportunity is not by chance, the Gospel I have been privileged to share to this man may either be a savour of death unto death or a savour of life unto life and this looks promising!
May God have mercy on his soul, and all thanks and praise be to God who gave the great joy and privilege of sharing the glorious and wonderful Gospel of His Beloved Son to this wretched and unworthy worm and empowered me to share this Good News!

Where have we been so far?
Thank God that over the last week, over 300 people have been reached around Perth (and Brisbane) through the participants in September 30in30. Here is a map of the outreach in Perth so far. Participants will be able to get a link to this interactive map but for privacy reasons, here is only a screenshot of the map. Stay on this page to see testimonies from the log books of those participating in September 30in30. If you are reading this from some other part of the world, maybe leave us a comment below.

And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea..
After submitting to the Lord's will and the Holy Spirit and obeying today's daily devotion of witnessing at home first, the Lord immediately granted me the opportunity to sow a seed to one of our neighbours - Ted. On my previous delivery runs, riding on the spiritual high from camp, I had prayed to the Lord for an opportunity to share the gospel with him. But it felt like the Lord stayed my hand and mouth. Instead I talked to him and got to know him better. Tilling the soil first I suppose. And now was the right time, the Lord answered my prayer! :)
I embarked on my final delivery run for the day and lo and behold he was out tending to his garden. After a short prayer I went to give him his brochures and also gave him the tract and engaged in conversation.
He was raised Catholic but doesn't really practice much anymore. I asked him if he knew he was saved and whether if he died tonight he would go to heaven. He replied "I don't know" with an apprehensive chuckle. So I encouraged him to read the tract and told him it has the good news of Jesus Christ! :) @ 3pm on Wednesday in Success.

The Great Commission Continues
Thank God for another September 30in30 but the objective is not accomplished until we make evangelism part of our daily life. We are ambassadors for Christ until our final breath. Here's a testimony from one of this year's participants recorded in the log book.
This September 30in30 has been a means of building up my faith and some experience in evangelism.
Truly we see how weak the flesh is and how it is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can stand up against the pressures of this world.
We see how hardened the hearts of men are that none seeketh after God, no not one, and that it is a work of grace that any man is willing to take a tract.
We see the depravity of many who reject Christ time and time again and who harden themselves for destruction.
We see the darts of the Devil thrown against us through men who do his evil desires for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We see God's hand at work in the many opportunities and the providential work of God. The reality of this darkened world and of eternal things to come are presented to us in a new light as we see fools who say there is no God and those who are workers of every iniquity.
We are not dismayed at the insults and accusations heaped on us but rejoice and count it all glory that we should be partakers of the sufferings of Christ Who was willing to endure far more for our sakes.
Going out and obeying the Great Commission requires clean hands and a pure heart for how can God use unclean vessels for His work and to His glory?
Sept 30in30 should be a lifestyle: 365in365 every day that we remain on earth to witness for Christ.
May God bless those tracts given to be used of His Holy Spirit to convict the hearts of men and may the Scriptures in the tracts fulfil their purpose to make men wise unto salvation.
May God place in us a heart to continue his work, undaunted, pure, dependent upon His Holy Spirit fearing no man but having a ready answer for our faith to His glory and the extension of His kingdom which will last forever and ever for all eternity.
All praise be to God for counting me worthy to be reproached for the glorious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Who I hope and pray will say to me on that Last Day "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"
Soli Deo Gloria

Hellbound - Enough of a Prompting for You?
As the 886 Bus pulled up at North Perth Plaza, I noticed a man dressed in a dark grey hoodie with sunglasses and with those 'pant-chains'. He looked really dangerous and I remember thinking to myself 'I wonder if he is going to board the bus - I hope he doesn't.'
He did get on the bus and as he did I noticed his jumper which read: Hellbound. It struck me and it was as though it was a rebuke for my previous thoughts. And yes, he was 'Hellbound' if he didn't know Christ. So I prayed for the courage to pass the tract to him as I left the bus. I passed it to him and he took and said thanks. As the bus rolled away, I saw that his head was down and he was reading the tract.
Thank God he took it and pray for his soul. @ 9:03am in Mt Lawley on Monday 22/9/14

Small Talk Generates Conversations of Eternal Value
As I walked towards the my train platform, I was praying that I would be able to give a tract so someone since I had left uni a lot earlier that day and it wasn't peak traffic time. As I started to walk down the stairs, I spied a white head and thought 'alright, I might go and talk to her'. So I walked towards and stood next to her. Praying that I would have contact with her somehow.
A few minutes later, she looked at me and smiled and I said: 'Hi!'. Then I started talking about the weather (another Evangelism Café tip) and so she started talking to. But there's only so much you can talk concerning the weather so we stopped talking. Then I reached into my handbag and asked her if she had seen one of these before and said that I would like to give it to her. She took and flipped through it. She told me she was from the Church of England (Anglican). Pray that she will read it (she popped it into her bag).
But yes, talking about the weather does work even though it seems odd and random! @ 11:15am on Tuesday 23/9/14 in the Perth City.

Second Chances Come to Those Looking
Very thankful that God gave me a second chance to pass a tract.
I boarded the busy train but managed to find a seat. And I as I looked at the lady sitting next to me, I realised (with a shock) that I had seen her before a few days ago. She was with her daughter and I remembered them because they were a bit foul mouthed. We had established some form of contact (smile and when the train jerked and I jerked with the train) and I thought I should pass them both a tract. But I didn't - I was too scared of them swearing at me. As I got off, I regretted it and asked God to help me so I wouldn't do that again. And strange enough, I prayed that I would see them again. So you can imagine that I was quite shocked when I found her sitting to me again (especially as this wasn't the usual time I caught trains).
So today, I prayed that I would be able to give her a tract. We had swapped smiles but that was it. I took the tract out of my handbag and held it hoping and praying for the opportunity. Then I thought I would begin to read and hoped that the pictures would catch her eye and that she would ask me what it was. So I read it VERY slowly and tried to angle the book so she could see it. And she did look at it quite often (I could see her out of the corner of my eye).
As the train approached Murdoch, she hadn't said anything regarding the tract so I prayed again and said to her: "I've just read this booklet and I found it to be really good. I thought you might like to have a read of it too." And she was VERY thankful and started opening it. So thank God for answering my prayer and that he gave me a second chance.@ 5:37pm on Wednesday 24/9/14 at Murdoch.
